1. What is the duration for which a scholar has to work in NatSteel Holdings upon graduation?
The duration depends on the number of years of sponsorship of studies. It is as follows:

2. What is the difference between NatSteel Holdings' scholarship and other scholarships in the market?
The
NatSteel Holdings Scholarship is given to potential candidates with excellent leadership and communication skills. They will be groomed to be future leaders of the company. Our scholarship is also open to all nationalities.


3. Will double-degrees in Engineering and Business Administration be considered?
NatSteel Holdings consider such double-degrees scholarships on a case-by-case basis

4. Does a scholar have to do an Internship/Industrial Attachment with NatSteel Holdings?
Where Internship/Industrial Attachment applies as part of the curriculum, the scholar has to do his/her Industrial Attachment in NatSteel Holdings, so as to familiarise himself/herself with the work culture and operations of the company.


5. Will a scholar be allowed to pursue graduate studies before serving the bond?
NatSteel Holdings would prefer the scholar to complete his/her bond before pursuing graduate studies. This work experience will help the scholar determine with greater accuracy, his/her area of interest and graduate studies that would be most applicable later. However, the Scholarship Committee will consider such requests on a case-by-case basis.


6. Will the scholar be sent overseas for training during their period of bond?
Yes, a scholar may be attached to an overseas office for training/work during the duration of his/her bond. The duration of the overseas training/work will depend on the type of project that the scholar undertakes overseas.


7. Are scholars given preferential treatment at NatSteel Holdings in their job advancement?
No, scholars are not given preferential treatment at NatSteel Holdings. However, they are put on an accelerated career path when they work with us and their career progression will be based on their performance at work.


8. How many scholarships are awarded annually?
NatSteel Holdings normally awards one to three scholarships yearly. However, there have been instances where no scholarship is awarded as none of the shortlisted candidates meet our requirements.


9. What position does NatSteel Holdings offer to Engineering graduates?
Engineering graduates may start off as an Electrical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer or Process Engineer in the company depending on their course of study and area of interest.


10. What is the starting salary of an Engineer at NatSteel Holdings?
We offer competitive salaries that are commensurate with the individual’s qualifications and experience.
