NatSteel Asia (NSA) presented a cheque of $53,500 to St Joseph’s Home (SJH) at its Family Day celebration yesterday. This amount was the second instalment, raised by NSA and its staff, for the purchase of the 20-seater van. A  cheque of $50,000 was presented to SJH in December 2007 - the first instalment for the purchase of the van which cost $103,500, inclusive of the retro-fitting costs. 

 

Other contributions

In view of the recent twin tragedies in China and Myanmar, NSA also extended a helping hand to these two countries. In Singapore, it donated S$20,000 in aid of the Myanmar Cyclone Nargis disaster through the Singapore Red Cross Society. In China, the NatSteel operations in Wuxi and Xiamen donated about S$60,000 in all to the Sichuan Earthquake Relief Fund.
