NatSteel's CSR Programme - 'Building Beyond Borders'

In Dec 2007, we launched our CSR programme, dubbed 'Building Beyond Borders' or B³, with a pledge of $1 million over the next three years to community initiatives. CSR is not new to NatSteel as we have been supportive of charitable causes and playing an active role in environmental matters since time immemorial. But with the launch of B³, there will be greater focus and integration towards a more concerted effort at targeted focus areas.

To kickstart this programme, we are focusing on Singapore's disadvantaged first. Two focal areas have been identified: the underprivileged elderly and education of needy children and youth. Cheques of $50,000 each were presented to our adopted charities - St Joseph's Home and the Society for the Physically Disabled.
